Job title:  Wealth manager

Department: Wealth management

Reporting to: Head of Business Development / Management Committee

Job purpose:

To provide advice and services, working with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • To act as clients’ principal wealth manager and adviser providing support and education on all financial matters, providing the necessary advice, guidance and reassurance to them in achieving their longer-term financial goals
  • Work with other professionals, ensuring the clients’ plans are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Develop individual client strategies and plans aligned to their specific goals and objectives
  • Work closely with a team of administrators ensuring all recommendations, client records and management information is maintained and up to date
  • To maintain currently levels of business ensuring customers are given the level of service as identified during their initial or review meetings
  • Ensure that opportunities for new business are identified and followed up
  • Advise clients on appropriate products and services aligned to their needs
  • Share best practices with other wealth managers across the business
  • Stay up to date and ahead of industry trends and where practical share these with other wealth managers to ensure the business is at the forefront of the market
  • Ensure competency is achieved and maintained across the advice and services processes

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum of a full A-Level Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS) Examination – M5, M8, M8A, M9, M9A and Health Insurance is required
  • Any other financial planning courses will be considered as an advantage

Position: Senior IT Support Engineer

Department: IT

Reporting to: Head of IT

Job purpose:

To deliver IT End User Support to all AAM staff and be responsible for numerous IT systems and other associated work activity.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Administering of Servers, Firewalls, Network and PBX telephone system
  • Provide IT helpdesk support for day-to-day IT operations including logging and tracking of user IT issues for both local and overseas users
  • Ensure high availability of business-critical systems by constantly improving the existing systems and ability to respond effectively, quickly to incidents
  • Perform setup and troubleshooting of issues for Desktop PCs, notebooks, Mac, printers/copiers and corporate or personal mobile devices (iOS/Android)
  • Proactive monitoring of system and equipment and ensure vulnerabilities are patched and remediated in a timely manner and in accordance to security compliance and requirements
  • Provide Backup and Restore administration and manage end to end backup infrastructure including backup job policies including Backup to disk and backup to tape
  • Maintain and update all IT related hardware and software asset inventories
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation
  • Managing and coordinating IT projects or activities

Key skills:

  • Excellent hands-on knowledge and experience in M365 (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams, Intune, Compliance and Security), Active Directory, Fortigate Firewalls, Routers, Switches and VPN access. Having databases and scripting knowledge will be an advantage
  • Security oriented, analytical and good problem-solving skills

Qualifications required:

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Information Systems or equivalent

Experience required:

  • Min 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Approachable and a team player
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills

Position: Investment Analyst

Department: IRT

Reporting to: Head of IRT

Job purpose:

Investment Analysts provide support to Investment Research Team and Wealth Managers on investments and related internal processes.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

1) Assisting Wealth Managers and support staff with all things investment related, including:

  • Portfolio performance and risk data
  • Investment fund marketing documentation
  • Provision of specific information

2) Construction of non-standard portfolios:

  • Construction of portfolios which sit outside the model portfolios and below minimum portfolios
  • Non-standard requests
  • Core/Satellite portfolios
  • Constructing portfolios for newly approved products
  • Building templates in Excel and other systems
  • Working closely with other departments to improve investment proposition

3) System updates

  • Ensuring the accuracy of investment related data
  • Updating AAM Satellite fund list, AIL etc.
  • Producing due diligence documents for new funds
  • Updating and maintaining IRT’s intranet

4) Assisting in the production of quarterly documentation. This may include:

  • Quarterly Commentaries
  • Performance Chart Book
  • Data Report
  • Flipchart

5) Portfolio Changes

  • Assisting in the management of 200 model portfolios
  • Working with relevant departments to ensure portfolio changes are processed

Key skills:

  • Investment research experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Keeping updated with changes in the regulation
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications required:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in Business, Economics, Finance and with CFA or CAIA will be considered as an advantage
  • 5+ years research and portfolio management experience, including manager due diligence
  • Experience with Alternative Investments

Position: Client Servicing Executive

Department: Personal Assistant Team

Reporting to: Vice President of Wealth Management

Job purpose:

Responsible for handling administration duties, including greeting guests, answering phones, sorting and handling emails inquiries.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Answer telephone, screen and relay messages
  • Provide administrative and clerical support
  • Prepare correspondence and documents
  • Send monthly portfolio reports from FE Analytics
  • Request, send and process client portfolio rebalances
  • Update client and portfolios in FE after rebalances
  • Monitor clients request for review meetings
  • Schedule appointments
  • Maintain appointment diary either manually or electronically
  • Co-ordinate meetings and organise conference and meeting room bookings
  • Any other ad hoc duties as designated by the Vice President of Wealth Management
