Job title: Senior Wealth Manager and Team Head

Department: Wealth management

Reporting to: Head of Business Development / CEO

Job purpose:

As Team Head, to support and build a team of Wealth Managers whose primary focus is on providing bespoke advice to Singaporean clients.

As a Senior Wealth Manager work with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Acquire, develop and maintain a portfolio of clients while adopting a needs-based advisory approach to identify all clients’ financial needs and priorities
  • Analyse clients’ financial status by meeting with them to determine their assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status and financial objectives, developing financial plan based on the analysis of financial and personal information, and discussions around financial options with clients
  • Develop and implement financial plans for individuals, utilising knowledge of investment strategies, insurance and retirement planning
  • Prepare and submit documents to implement all plan(s) recommended and selected by clients
  • Maintain contact with client to revise plans based on changing needs or relevant changes in investment market conditions
  • Maintain and grow knowledge to be current with market trends and the evolving regulatory landscape by attending training courses internally/externally while fulfilling the prescribed CPD hours
  • Maintain high commitment to compliance with internal company policies and MAS requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Any other relevant financial planning courses will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • English as a first language is preferred with a minimum requirement
  • Confidence and quick thinking when communicating with potential clients

Job purpose:

To provide advice and services, working with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • To act as clients’ principal wealth manager and adviser providing support and education on all financial matters, providing the necessary advice, guidance and reassurance to them in achieving their longer-term financial goals
  • Work with other professionals, ensuring the clients’ plans are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Develop individual client strategies and plans aligned to their specific goals and objectives
  • Work closely with a team of administrators ensuring all recommendations, client records and management information is maintained and up to date
  • To maintain currently levels of business ensuring customers are given the level of service as identified during their initial or review meetings
  • Ensure that opportunities for new business are identified and followed up
  • Advise clients on appropriate products and services aligned to their needs

About the role:

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll work alongside an experienced wealth manager responsible for warm lead follow up and leads generation. You’ll also help us deliver our business development sales targets by communicating with people via email, LinkedIn, the phone and, occasionally, face-to-face, with a view to scheduling a meeting with one of our team. And, when it comes to effective workflow/database management and keeping accurate records, again, we’ll count on you to deliver. Generating leads, keeping abreast of trends in the market and seeking ways of improving how we do things – you’ll get to do all of this, and more.

About you:

It really is a great opportunity to learn aspects of AAM’s financial planning proposition and develop the necessary technical and market awareness knowledge to assist our wealth managers. As well as the ability to provide quality customer service, you’ll need a strong eye for detail and be comfortable working under pressure, as well as to targets and deadlines.   • meeting and greeting visitors at all levels of seniority;
  • organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments;

  • producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;
  • organising and attending meetings and ensuring the manager is well prepared for meetings;
