Job title: Senior Wealth Manager and Team Head

Department: Wealth management

Reporting to: Head of Business Development / CEO

Job purpose:

As Team Head, to support and build a team of Wealth Managers whose primary focus is on providing bespoke advice to Singaporean clients.

As a Senior Wealth Manager work with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • Acquire, develop and maintain a portfolio of clients while adopting a needs-based advisory approach to identify all clients’ financial needs and priorities
  • Analyse clients’ financial status by meeting with them to determine their assets, liabilities, cash flow, insurance coverage, tax status and financial objectives, developing financial plan based on the analysis of financial and personal information, and discussions around financial options with clients
  • Develop and implement financial plans for individuals, utilising knowledge of investment strategies, insurance and retirement planning
  • Prepare and submit documents to implement all plan(s) recommended and selected by clients
  • Maintain contact with client to revise plans based on changing needs or relevant changes in investment market conditions
  • Maintain and grow knowledge to be current with market trends and the evolving regulatory landscape by attending training courses internally/externally while fulfilling the prescribed CPD hours
  • Maintain high commitment to compliance with internal company policies and MAS requirements

Qualifications required:

  • Capital Markets and Financial Advisory Services (CMFAS) Examination – M5, M8, M8A, M9, M9A and Health Insurance is required
  • Any other relevant financial planning courses will be considered as an advantage
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • English as a first language is preferred with a minimum requirement
  • Confidence and quick thinking when communicating with potential clients

Job purpose:

To provide advice and services, working with individuals, families and businesses to help clients better understand their financial circumstances and how to reach their short-term and long-term financial objectives.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

  • To act as clients’ principal wealth manager and adviser providing support and education on all financial matters, providing the necessary advice, guidance and reassurance to them in achieving their longer-term financial goals
  • Work with other professionals, ensuring the clients’ plans are implemented efficiently and effectively
  • Develop individual client strategies and plans aligned to their specific goals and objectives
  • Work closely with a team of administrators ensuring all recommendations, client records and management information is maintained and up to date
  • To maintain currently levels of business ensuring customers are given the level of service as identified during their initial or review meetings
  • Ensure that opportunities for new business are identified and followed up
  • Advise clients on appropriate products and services aligned to their needs
  • Share best practices with other wealth managers across the business

About the role:

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll work alongside an experienced wealth manager responsible for warm lead follow up and leads generation. You’ll also help us deliver our business development sales targets by communicating with people via email, LinkedIn, the phone and, occasionally, face-to-face, with a view to scheduling a meeting with one of our team. And, when it comes to effective workflow/database management and keeping accurate records, again, we’ll count on you to deliver. Generating leads, keeping abreast of trends in the market and seeking ways of improving how we do things – you’ll get to do all of this, and more.

About you:

It really is a great opportunity to learn aspects of AAM’s financial planning proposition and develop the necessary technical and market awareness knowledge to assist our wealth managers. As well as the ability to provide quality customer service, you’ll need a strong eye for detail and be comfortable working under pressure, as well as to targets and deadlines. Department: IRT

Reporting to: Head of IRT

Job purpose:

Financial Analysts provide support to Investment Research Team and FARs on investments and related internal processes.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

Assisting Financial Advisors and support staff with all things investment related, including:

  • Portfolio performance and risk data
  • Investment fund marketing documentation
  • Provision of specific information

Construction of non-standard portfolios:

  • Construction of portfolios which sit outside the model portfolios and below minimum portfolios
  • Non-standard requests
  • Core/Satellite portfolios
  • Constructing portfolios for newly approved products such as SL Investment Plan, Generali Choice etc
  • Building templates in Excel and other systems
  • Working closely with other departments to improve AAM’s investment proposition

System updates

  • Ensuring the accuracy of investment related data to clients. Ensuring that the information we provide to clients is correct and that we fulfill our regulatory obligations with respect to disclosure. Keeping updated with changes in the regulation
  • Ensuring FE and excel charts are updated each time a platform/fund provider adds/removes a fund, changes the fees etc
  • Updating AAM Satellite fund list, AIL etc
  • Producing DD documents for new funds
  • Updating and maintaining IRT’s intranet

Assisting in the production of quarterly post and pre-sale documentation. This may include:

  • Quarterly Commentaries
  • Performance Chart Book
  • Data Report
  • Flipchart

Job title: Risk & Compliance Executive

Department: Risk & Compliance

Reporting to: Head of Risk & Compliance

Job purpose:

This role will provide support and assistance to the Head of Risk and Compliance in the maintenance and monitoring of the compliance and quality systems in line with relevant MAS regulatory rules and requirements. It will also focus on post transaction reviews as part of the department’s responsibility as the independent sales audit unit.

Key responsibilities and scope of role:

This role will incorporate some or all of the responsibilities outlined below:

Independent Sales Audit

  • Providing support to the Head of Compliance for execution of the AAM Risk and Compliance plan, in particular the continuous post-transaction review of advice as the independent sales audit unit in accordance to the MAS’ methodology
  • Progressing the concerns identified as part of the post transaction reviews, client surveys and complaints; recommend the conclusion of concerns as infractions according to criteria provided by the MAS
  • Supporting the follow-up of infractions on remuneration impact, and communication of balance scorecard grade to the advisers
  • Coordinating the appeal processes where triggered
  • Supporting the reporting on the quality of financial advice base on, but not limited to the post transaction reviews to the CEO and Board
  • Monitoring the rectification by individual advisers arising from concerns identified from the continuous reviews, client surveys or complaints

Representatives record

  • Reviewing the completion of continuous professional development requirements of financial adviser representatives (FAR), fit and proper attestations
  • Ensuring FAR register and introducer register are timely maintained
  • Ensuring timely regulatory notification on changes to FAR profiles

Financial crime

  • Analysing and supporting in financial crime related monitoring
  • Analysing and supporting in enterprise wide risk assessment on financial crime

Others

  • Any other ad-hoc duties as delegated by the Head of Risk & Compliance
